Carl Delmont, Host and Moderator

Carl graduated from Shepherd University with a double major in Business and English. Within several months of graduating, he bought his first house and he quickly left his Financial Planning career for a career in the mortgage industry. After quickly rising to VP of a small mortgage firm, Carl left to start Freedmont Mortgage®, which has grown to be one of the area’s most respected and trusted lenders.

Carl’s knowledge, experience and integrity have helped to benefit many borrowers for almost 2 decades and “his way of putting complicated mortgage terms into easy to understand words”, as one testimonial states, has led to various media appearances over the years. Carl is a weekly expert on WMAR ABC 2 News each Monday since 2001, as well as the weekly resident expert on various radio programs, including 105.7THE X morning show in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and 102.7 In Harrisburg, Pa. In addition, Carl is also the resident expert on The Ed Norris Show on 105.7 FM in Baltimore.

In addition, Carl writes a weekly newspaper column on the economy and homeownership and also teaches the new SAFE Act laws to the loan officers of banks and lenders nationwide. Carl currently serves on the Board of The Maryland Council of Economic Education ( Financial Literacy) and is involved with various charities and coaching soccer. Carl is the Host and Moderator of The Weekend Real Estate Report where he offers various consumer tips and advice to future and current homeowners.
